Allowance worksheet

In my last post I wrote about the process we use for an allowance.  Here is a sample of a worksheet format we’ve used for doing an allowance.

Allowance worksheet

I like this format because I can:

  • update the tasks as the kids take on more difficult tasks
  • update the amount paid per task
  • print them one at a time or several at a time

I usually post this on the refrigerator so we don’t forget about it…which is easy to do if it is not in a place you go to often.  Our kids pay attention to the worksheet.  Having a “visual tool” where they can see it helps them to understand how the allowance system works, as well as our expectations.
