Compromise

Continuing from previous posts, key #3 to a healthy marriage is compromise.

“If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.” Mark 3:25

A marriage that allows for compromise is one that includes each spouse being flexible. Each spouse needs to listen to the other, and share their opinions in a kind way.

Here are some questions to consider about your flexibility:

  1. In what ways am I flexible?
  2. In what ways am I not flexible?
  3. In what ways is my spouse flexible?
  4. In what ways is my spouse not flexible?
  5. How are we similar?
  6. How are we different?
  7. How can I improve our relationship by being more flexible?
  8. How can my spouse improve our relationship by being more flexible?
  9. How can I best talk to my sp0use in a kind way about my opinions and needs?
