Emotional shape

The last post focused on physical shape, so this one will move on to the next of the three: emotional shape.

How can we connect to God while we work on our emotional shape, our emotional growth? Here are a few ideas:

  • Pray, pray, pray for help. Here are some examples of times in the bible when people have prayed for help:
  • Spend time reading the bible. I would most likely turn to Psalms, since there are so many Psalms that talk about life struggles and dependence on God throughout them.
  • Talk to a friend you trust. Ask your friend to pray for you throughout your struggles.
  • Give yourself a break. We all make mistakes. When you mess up, start over and try again.
