God’s word: Standing the test of time

A while back I wrote about the delight of the first flowers of spring, and the following sadness when they wilt away.

Unlike the flowers that only grace our lives for a few days, the Word of God stands the test of time.

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” Isaiah 40:8

God’s Word is always with us. His Word is with us on those sunny spring days when we discover our first daffodil, and His Word is with us when those same daffodils wither away.

God’s Word is unchanging, always full of grace, and His Word is for you. As the fleeting moments of this world push us back and forth, God’s Word, His love, His desire for you to know Him, never withers, but is always here.
