God’s word Part 2: Peace

In a world that is constantly in turmoil, the concept of peace can seem unreachable. How can we have peace when people are killing, hurting, lying, betraying, etc.?

And what about the confusion people can cause for us? There are times when I have been completely baffled by a friend’s hurtful behavior, wondering where it has come from.

But, if we dwell on the chaos of the world or the disappointments that others can be to us, we can get stuck in a mire of dread and disillusionment. We can worry ourselves sick. The world is an imperfect place. We are all imperfect people. What can we do?

We can remember that God’s Word is always perfect, always a guiding light, even on the days we are confused and hurt.

1 Corinthians 14:33 says: “For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.”

In my next post I will continue with this concept.
