Only one of you…

As Valentine’s day comes closer, we start to hear talk about the love of your life, and what to give to the one you love. Red and pink cards fill the card aisle at the stores, and hearts hang as decorations. Children make cards for each other to give at school, and candy sales increase around the country!

All this talk of love can also remind us of the One who loves us most of all.

“God loves each of us as if there were only one of us.” Augustine

Isn’t that so cool? God has a special place in His heart for you, and for you alone. Whether you are married, single, a child, an adult; God loves you.

In John 3:16, God’s love is so clear. “For God so loved the world (that’s you and me!), that He gave His only son (Jesus) so that anyone who believes will not perish but have eternal life.”

  1. That is so amazing that I read this on your site today! Michael and I were talking to the kids yesterday about how God loves each of us – the best! I compared it to whenever Michael is flicking through the channels and M*A*S*H comes on and I’ll say, “Oh, that’s a good one – one of my favorites!”
I can picture God looking at each of us and saying the same thing, “Oh, look at her, she’s one of my favorites” “Oh, look at that little boy, he’s one of my favorites!”
What’s neat is that he thinks that about ALL of us!!

  2. Love when His Word connects to our everyday lives!
