A God of peace

This post is part of a blog series on bible verses that give us inspiration and comfort.  Thank you for visiting!

A bible verse that comforts me:

1 Corinthians 14:33a

What I love about this verse:

It reminds me that even when there is confusion in my life and in the world, that does not come from God. It reminds me that God is a God of peace.

This verse connects to current, daily life by:

If I watch the news for 3 minutes it is enough time for me to be reminded of the insanity of this world. There are constantly stories about people doing awful, terrible, cruel acts…of nations going through turmoil, of children suffering in some way. It seems truly unbelievable sometimes when you think of the horror that people have gone through in their lives. This verse connects to current, daily life by reminding me that those cruel actions, pain the in world, suffering in nations and children are of the devil, and not from God. God is God of peace and comfort. He sent Jesus to save us and a belief in Jesus brings us assurance of a life of peace and comfort with God.
