Being known

This post is part of a blog series on bible verses that give us inspiration and comfort.  Thank you for visiting!

Bible verses that comfort me:

John 10:14-16

What I love about these verses:

Jesus reminds us that He knows us and gave His life for us.

These verses connect to current, daily life by:

In our culture, there is so much emphasis now on cell phones, email and social media that it sometimes feels like we don’t take the time to just “get to know” other people. The pressure to keep up with the pace of our culture is strong, and stopping to share our thoughts, feelings and concerns with others seems to happen less as we strive to keep up with the demands of life. Jesus reminds us in these verses, though, that He knows us. He knows everything about us. And even knowing our good and bad points, He still gave His life for us, because He loves us, even as we are.

  1. Cathi, thank you for this post, it’s very timely for me. I’ve been hearing and seeing many messages in my bible reading to focus on God’s love and Jesus’ sacrifice rather than the attention and approval of others.
